Jim Corbett National Park came in to existence after the hunter moved towards conservationist Jim Corbett   who played a pioneer role in its foundation—is the very old National park in India. The park was positioned in 1936 as Hailey National Park. Founded in national district of Uttarakhand the park acts as a defended vicinity for the gravely rare Bengal tiger of India, the safe survival of which is the important objective of project tiger, an Indian wildlife protection proposal.

The park has associate Himalayan belt geographical and ecological characteristics. An ecotourism area, it relates 488 various species of plants and a different assortment of fauna. The growth in tourist motions, among other difficulties, persists to lead a solemn challenge to the park’s ecological balance.

Corbett has been preoccupied for tourists and wildlife  lovers for a long time. Major wildlife attraction-

Leopards are typically established in the hilly vicinities of the park. Some nocturnal cats found here are the Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat and Fishing Cat. Sloth Bear is found in the lesser sections of the park whilst the Himalayan Black Bear is observed in the higher hills only. The Dole or feral Dog, though they can be glimpsed in the southern locales of the park together with the Jackal.

Jim Corbett National Park lazes in the Nainital, Pauri Garwhal and Bijnore Districts of Uttaranchal. 

 

The current vicinity of the preserve is 1318.54 sq. km. together with 520 sq. km. of nucleus region and 797.72 sq. km. of cushion area. The heart area outlines the Jim Corbett National Park while the cushion contains reserve forests (496.54 sq.km.) in addition to the Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary (301.18 sq.km.)
