radiators in your home here are a few helpful hints to get you
started.
1. The right size radiators for your rooms
Traditional
radiators are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes. You can choose
from classic period Victoriana styles right through to modern sleek designs.
This means you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to getting the perfect
radiators for your rooms.
You do need to consider what size radiators
you need for each room. There is only so much heat a single radiator can
produce. The larger the radiator the more heat.
In most cases you will
need larger radiators (or multiple radiators) in order to heat larger rooms
effectively.
Smaller radiators will be adequate for average size rooms
such as bedrooms, studies and moderate kitchen and living spaces.
To
work exactly what size traditional radiators you need for the rooms in your home
you can use online radiator BTU calculators.
These free tools are easy
to use and will help you to quickly work out how many radiators (and what size)
you need for your home.
As well as looking at the size of your room
these calculators can also take into account any heat loss factors.
Heat lost from areas such as single paned windows can affect the heat
If you dont feel confident working this calculation out for yourself then you could use specialist heating engineers. These experts will be able to quickly determine the exact heat requirements for your home using a number of variable factors.
2. Positioning Traditional Radiators
Ideally you should place traditional radiators in the coldest section of your room. This will help to offset heat loss and ensure the rooms remain at a constant temperature. Typical locations for traditional radiators will be under windows or anywhere on the exterior wall to the room. It will be easier to put traditional radiators in the same location as previous radiators. This will save you the cost and hassle of moving plumbing.
3. Protect your purchase with warrantees
When you buy new reproduction traditional radiators you will get a standard manufacturers warrantee. This is an important benefit for consumers. With the warrantee you would be protected against any manufacturing faults. This means if any of the traditional radiators are found to be faulty within a certain time period (typically 12 months) then they would be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer (under the terms).
When you buy second hand or antique traditional radiators you will not get this kind of back up. This would mean if any of the radiators are faulty then you would have to replace them using your own money.
Traditional radiators add classic appeal to all kinds of interior design schemes. These highly engineered radiators combine stylish looks with excellent functionality.
